Getting Ready

Get your hands ready by removing any nail polish that you already have on with the nail polish remover. Make sure you buy mild, acetone remover so that it doesn’t harm your nails or the skin around them.

Shape your Nails

Use good quality nail clippers to give your nails the shape you desire and gently file them to smooth the edges. Try to use non-metallic nail files to avoid splintering. Use a nail buffer to further smooth the top and sides of your nails.

Soak your Hands

Soak your hands in a lukewarm water bath with some shampoo in it. Keep them soaked for about 10-12 minuted but not longer as you can dry out the skin on your hands and weaken your nails.

Treat your Cuticles

After drying your hands, apply cuticle remover to the skin around your nails and let it sit for a couple of seconds. Now gently push the cuticles away from your nails with a cuticle pusher. Be gentle and be careful because you don’t want to bruise your skin!

Moisturize

Massage a rich cream into the cuticles and all over your hands to nourish and moisturize your skin.

Paint Nails

Remove the moisturizer from your nails with a cotton pad or swab. Now apply base coat to protect your nails from staining. Once dry, apply your chose nail colour and let that dry too before sealing the colour in with top coat.
